I downloaded and replaced the drivers as you suggested, but unfortunetly I ran into stuc, same problem. I did allow HP to run a scan to determine my exact model, so I was a little surprised at that. Moreover, their audio drivers which were different from the one you advised, but I downlload yours first locked up my machine to the point where it took over 10 minutes to boot and around 30 seconds to run Windows explorer.

I tried uninstalling the drivers but the machine was so slow I had to give up after about 45 minutes.
